Review
Ja-yeon is a woman experiencing infertility, and everything around her seems to be falling apart. As the cries of the baby next door grow louder, without a way to verify their existence, her hysteria escalates. An indefinitely postponed redevelopment plan, a shabby apartment scarred with leak stains here and there, hypocritical neighbors, and cryptic everyday dreams—everything intensifies the anxiety-driven psychodrama. With recurring imagery and dramatically varied interpretations of the same materialities, an enigmatic maze emerges between dreams and reality. At the end of the maze, is it a dream reflecting desire, a realization of that desire, or a shuddering blockage that embodies both? (JEONG Jihye | Film Critic)
