Pavements delivers an entertaining experience for both devoted Pavement fans and film enthusiasts alike. Though the film appears to be a documentary, the film blurs the line between fact and fiction, presenting events that seem fabricated yet plausible. Does a museum about this band actually exist? Is there really a musical based on the band's songs? Are famous actors truly acting the part of Pavement members in a feature film? But ultimately, what matters is that this film respects the spirit of the indie band Pavement—not taking everything too seriously and sometimes acting too clever for its own good. (Sung MOON)
